FAQ

What kind of coach are you?

Technically speaking, I am a Certified Fearless Living Coach.  Non-technically speaking, I coach people who want to make improvements in their lives. It could be that you’re feeling stuck or have a nagging feeling of being off-track. Maybe you have a general feeling of disappointment in yourself or you’re just plain tired of going through the motions and pretending that everything is ok when it’s not. Together, we will figure out where you are and where you want to go from here.  We’ll then formulate a plan for getting there.  It’s simple but not always easy because you’ll experience roadblocks and fear along the way.  That is where my experience and training come in and help keep you focused and on track as we push through the tough stuff.

Will you really, “kick my ass?”

I will listen to you, encourage you and hold you accountable.  I am compassionate AND I won’t let you make excuses or tell stories.  As your coach, I am your support system and a mirror to your life. Sometimes we all need a positive push to get us moving on a path to change.

What is the typical profile of your clients?

My clients span a broad spectrum but do have some things in common. My clients generally work in a corporate environment; they are ambitious, open minded and accountable.  They are successful and want to reach the next level of their success.

How do I know My Kick Ass Coach is the right coach for me?  How do I choose?

I encourage you to interview at least three coaches before ultimately choosing to work with one.  Interviewing potential coaches is important because you want to make sure the two of you ‘click.’ You absolutely need to feel comfortable with your coach because you will be sharing personal information.  During the interview process, ask about the coach’s background and training, and what methodology they use.  Get a good feel for whether you feel comfortable with their methodology.
As for knowing if I am a good coach for you – let’s do that interview! You can call or email me anytime to set up an appointment to find out if we are a good fit for each other – no obligation. 408-723-5290.

If I hire a coach does it mean I’m messed up and can’t handle my life?

Absolutely not. Everyone needs support. I was once someone who didn’t think I needed support and thought it was a sign of weakness to ask for help.  I was sooooo wrong. You can be a perfectly well adjusted, intelligent individual who also has some challenges in your life.
For some people, talking to a coach is the first time they get to experience someone really listening to them.  For others, the coach serves as a mirror for them so they can see their life-path more clearly.  Other people really just need an accountability partner.  I truly believe that everyone needs a life coach who can support them in being who they want, getting over past hurts/trauma and having the life they want.

What if I’m afraid to work with a coach? I think I’m going to have to bring up and talk about things I don’t want to talk about.

A good coach will never force you to talk about anything you don’t want to talk about.  However, a good coach will challenge you to take a good look at what’s stopping you from addressing the issue.
Change is never easy. In order to move forward in your life and make desired changes, you will have to get out of your comfort zone.  If you aren’t ready to get out of your comfort zone, at least a little bit, you may not be ready to work with a coach.  However, if you are willing to expand your horizons, you will be in for an exciting ride!

Do I have to be in Silicon Valley to work with My Kick Ass Coach?

No, as our coaching sessions will take place over the phone. I live in California and have clients as far away as Belgium.  With international clients, our coaching sessions are via Skype so there are no long distance phone charges.  I can work with clients in any time zone.

I would love to work with a coach but I can’t afford it.

Don’t make that assumption until we’ve had a chance to talk. I offer a wide-variety of payment structures and plans that can work with almost any budget.
If you still doubt you can afford it, know this: choosing to spend money on a coach is choosing to invest in you. When you become a priority in your own life, you’ll work hard to find the money to invest in it.
Think about the changes you want to make in your life.  If you could put a dollar value on each change, what would it be worth to achieve them? One less latte a day? One less day at the ballgame? Sacrificing a couple dinners or movies out a month? Choosing your life’s goals over a new wardrobe?
What it boils down to is this: when you are truly ready and committed to making the changes you seek in your life, you will commit to finding the money for a coach.

What if I spend the money and then find out coaching isn’t for me?

If you find that’s the case, I offer a 100% money back guarantee.  Here is how it works:  we have at least 3 consecutive weekly sessions. You participate fully and do all of the assigned homework – yes, there is homework when you have a coach!  If at the end of the three weeks, if you then feel that you have received NO value from our sessions, I will refund 100% of your money.

What are you waiting for?
