I wrote this poem to present to my gals in my Pod at our graduation last night. I’m no poet. Poems “happen” to me. 
I was a lone pea
Tiny and green
Feeling so small
Wanting to be seen
Searching for my pod
They would see me
Warm and inviting
Frightening but free
Growing and gaining
Leaves, petals and all
No longer tiny
No longer small
A sweet pea flower
Bold, authentic and tall
